Position Highlights
The Department of Psychiatry is hiring assistant or associate professor to serve as a clinical psychologist for the Office of Wellbeing in undergraduate and graduate medical education at COM-P. This position will champion wellness and actively engage in programmatic development related to mental health and wellbeing, crisis management and best practices in the field of clinical psychology as it related to trainees in the field of medicine.
This position will be expected to provide counseling and therapy sessions (initial and follow up) to individual students, residents and fellows in training. Advancing mental healthcare, health education, health promotion and wellness programs will be expected by the team of psychologists. Periodic evaluation of institutional policies, procedures and protocols to mitigate undue stressors impacting student/trainee health and wellness, including when and how to make appropriate referrals and maintain client confidentiality will be critical.
The successful candidate will fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member in the department and must qualify for an appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor.
