About Us

The Utah Center for Psychological Services is a private practice located in the greater Salt Lake City area. Our vision and mission is to be Salt Lake City's premier center for high quality psychological evaluations. We serve diverse clients for a variety of concerns. As a result, we conduct a broad spectrum of psychological assessments to address referrals for autism, ADHD, trauma, dissociative, personality, dementia, TBI, and learning disorders across the lifespan. We value and respect others' autonomy (both employees and clients alike). We implement a strengths-based approach with our clients, focusing on the individual strengths to guide recommendations for accommodations, treatment, and/or support. We are also committed to ongoing learning, and we implement a developmental model for training our staff members. Our goal is to find a balance between supporting our team members while also respecting their autonomy and expertise.

Job Summary

We are seeking two postdoctoral fellows to join our team beginning in the fall of 2026. The ideal candidate will provide professional psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients dealing with a variety of mental health issues. This position is a dedicated evaluation position (meaning the postdoc would primarily be conducting psychological evaluations), but there are opportunities to take on a few therapy cases each week, if desired. Additionally, there may be limited opportunities to shadow or learn about forensic evaluations, based on availability and interest. The postdoc will be responsible for completing the full assessment, including intake, testing, scoring, collateral interviews, record review, report writing, and feedback.

This is a full time position (i.e., 40 hours per week), and the schedule is Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing for three-day weekends to explore all of Utah's fantastic recreational opportunities! This is a hybrid position, wherein most of the work will be done remotely (i.e., intake, collateral interviews, report writing, and feedback), but some work (i.e., testing) must be done in person at our office. Benefits include two weeks of paid time off (accumulated each pay period), 6 paid holidays, and health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life). Start date for this position is September 18, 2026.

In terms of training opportunities, the postdoc will be provided weekly supervision by a licensed psychologist. We use a developmental approach to supervision, wherein we meet the trainee where they are and work with them to prepare them to be a fully independent psychologist by the end of the year. Additionally, there will be two hours each week for formal didactics, which will include a mix of in-person and online trainings on a variety of topics. The postdoc will also be provided two hours each week to devote to professional development of the postdoc's choosing (e.g., reading, research, EPPP preparation). Overall, it is anticipated that the postdoc would spend approximately 10 hours each week performing administrative and training duties and 30 hours each week doing clinical work (i.e., intake, testing, scoring, report writing, and feedback).
