Life Matters Counseling and Psychological Services — Farmington, Utah
Life Matters Counseling and Psychological Services is seeking a warm, collaborative, and independently licensed therapist to join our growing group practice. We have an established need for clinicians who genuinely understand ADHD, autism, and neurodivergence. We are looking for someone who can provide thoughtful, practical, and affirming care to adults and young adults.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who wants the support and referral flow of a group practice while maintaining clinical autonomy and a sustainable daytime schedule.
Part-time position with the opportunity to grow
Weekday daytime hours, with sessions ending by 2:00 p.m.
Optional Saturday availability
Primarily in-person services in Farmington, with telehealth opportunities as appropriate
Established demand for ADHD- and autism-informed therapy
Support with referrals, scheduling, billing, credentialing, marketing, and furnished office space
Compensation based on experience, specialized training, and qualifications
The ideal clinician has meaningful experience supporting neurodivergent adults and young adults. They understand that ADHD and autism involve much more than attention difficulties or social skills. Their work may address executive functioning, masking, sensory needs, emotional regulation, burnout, motivation, identity, shame, relationships, and major life transitions.
We are seeking a clinician who is affirming without reducing every concern to neurodivergence and who can thoughtfully recognize co-occurring anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, sleep problems, and other clinical needs.
Provide individual psychotherapy to adults and young adults
Complete timely and clinically appropriate documentation
Develop collaborative, individualized treatment plans
Adapt interventions to clients’ executive-functioning, communication, sensory, and processing needs
Coordinate with prescribers, evaluators, and other providers when appropriate
Refer clients for formal psychological assessment when diagnostic clarification is needed
Participate in required consultation or team meetings
Maintain ethical, professional, and inclusive clinical practices
Active, independent Utah license as an LCSW or CMHC
Graduate degree from an appropriately accredited program
Demonstrated experience treating ADHD, autism, or neurodivergent clients
Strong understanding of professional boundaries, ethical practice, and scope of competence
Ability to work independently while participating collaboratively in a group practice
Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQ+-affirming care
Ability to provide weekday daytime appointments
Experience with late-identified or late-diagnosed ADHD and autism
Understanding of masking, autistic burnout, executive dysfunction, sensory differences, alexithymia, and emotional dysregulation
Experience adapting ACT, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, or other evidence-informed approaches for neurodivergent clients
Experience supporting women and others whose neurodivergence may have been overlooked
Experience with chronic illness, chronic pain, identity development, caregiver stress, or major life transitions
Comfort working with partners or family members when neurodivergence affects communication and relationships
Credentialing with major Utah insurance plans is helpful but not required
