Good Day Mental Health & Psychiatry is seeking a Licensed Psychologist or Postdoctoral Mental Health Professional working towards full licensing with child & adolescent experience for our family-focused, CBT-based group practice in Ogden, UT. Education

Utah Licensed Psychologist (PsyD) or Postdoctoral Mental Health Professional working towards full licensing.

About Us

We specialize in psychological testing and in treating anxiety, trauma, OCD, and depression in children, adolescents and adults. We provide evidenced-based treatments, with CBT and Exposure Therapy being our primary models. Good Day Mental Health & Psychiatry will provide you with client referrals, and all initial appointments will be booked with the help of our office assistants. As with all private practice positions, your schedule will grow as clients are referred into the practice.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and psychological testing to diagnose a wide range of mental health conditions including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions, specifically cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy.
• Provide individual counseling for all ages including children, adolescents, and adults.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, assessments, treatment progress notes, and diagnostic evaluations in medical records systems.

Skills

• Licensed as a Psychologist with current certification in good standing.
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND INTEREST IN WORKING WITH CHILDREN. Willingness to work with children, adolescents, and adults.
• Proficiency in administering psychological testing and conducting individual psychological assessments. Additional training and support will be provided.
• Experience and competence in evidence-based practices, specifically cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy.
• Education and expertise in managing anxiety and trauma.
• Experience with treating Selective Mutism is preferred but not required. Additional training and supervision can be provided.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with clinical ethical guidelines related to patient confidentiality and medical records management.
• We will handle credentialing with preferred insurance companies.
