Remote Staff Psychologist - Possibilities ABA
Possibilities ABA is seeking a skilled and compassionate licensed psychologist (Counseling or Clinical) for a fully remote position, energized by working with neurodiverse children, youth, and their families. The Remote Staff Psychologist’s assessments, clinical judgment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team make an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
This position can be 100% remote, but it is preferred to work near Logan, Utah. A relocation stipend of $5,000-10,000 is available for qualified candidates who are relocating for this role.
About Possibilities ABA
Possibilities ABA is a rapidly expanding practice offering high-quality, compassionate Applied Behavioral Analysis(ABA) and Autism-diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents suspected of or known to have ASD. We tailor supports that meet the whole child, beyond a diagnosis. We are committed to evidence-based care, thoughtful collaboration, and meaningful work with families.
Primary Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct Autism-focused psychological evaluations using state-of-the-art telehealth-compatible testing and, as indicated, in-person assessment using the ADOS-2. The Remote Staff Psychologist works with a team of expert psychologists to evaluate children and adolescents ages 2-17 for concerns about repetitive behaviors, sensory differences, and social communication challenges. There may be opportunities to work with a local psychometrician in one of our remote locations. This position can be 100% remote, though ability to travel to one of our sites for in-person assessments would be a welcome contribution. The ideal candidate would be an early career psychologist with extensive prior training in administering, scoring, and interpreting the ADOS-2 with children.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct Autism-specific psychological evaluations via secure telehealth platforms, including developmental history interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized assessment procedures.
- Complete parent developmental and clinical interviews.
- Administer, score, and interpret autism-specific assessment tools appropriate for telehealth delivery (e.g., BOSA, TELE-ASD-PEDS, remote rating scales).
- Review all test data and integrate data from multiple sources, including parent interviews, rating scales, school reports, medical records, and direct observation, to determine diagnostic impressions.
- Independently formulate differential diagnoses related to autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring conditions (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, developmental delays).
- Independently produce clear, clinically sound diagnostic formulations consistent with DSM-5-TR criteria.
- Prepare brief psychological evaluation reports that summarize findings, diagnostic conclusions, and individualized recommendations.
- Provide verbal feedback to families on evaluation findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with a supportive team of psychologists to improve skills and the assessment process, including participating in CE trainings, sharing report templates, and professional consultation.
- Other duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Physical Requirements
- Stationary Position: Ability to remain in a seated or standing position for extended periods while performing administrative duties.
- Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, operating a computer, and handling office equipment.
- Visual Acuity: Ability to view a computer screen and read written materials for prolonged periods.
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate, including speaking and hearing, to participate in meetings (in-person and virtual) and phone calls. Fluent keyboarding skills and excellent written communication in report writing.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring the following strengths and experience:
- PhD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program required.
- Completion of an APA or CPA- accredited clinical internship.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice psychology in Utah or another state in which Possibilities ABA practices. OR: ability to obtain psychologist licensure in the requested state prior to start date.
- Proven competence in psychological evaluations, including skilled clinical interviewing, autism-specific assessment (including the ADOS-2 and related measures), and other standard assessment tools.
- Experience providing clinical services, preferably assessments, with children and adolescents.
- Experiencing providing clinical services via telehealth.
- Excellent time-management skills and written communication skills required for psychological assessment reports.
- Openness to consultation from senior psychologist colleagues and flexibility in learning new assessment approaches.

- Passion for working with neurodiverse individuals and their families.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team, with a commitment to collaborative practice, clear communication, and clinical excellence.
